Lebanese Food in the Heart of London

This was my second time visiting for a friend’s birthday and it was really nice. A special thanks to Syed and the other staff - the restaurant was very busy since it was Saturday evening, but they did check in with us regularly and asked if we needed anything. Syed pulled out all the stops to ensure my friend had a lovely birthday! The food was fresh and nice. I enjoyed the baba ganoush and the moussaka was beautiful! The portion was generous! I also loved the interior design in the private room - it felt as if we were in a different country! A well located place too - just a few mins walk from Oxford Circus!

Absolutely amazing food, Very satisfying and a lot of unique lebanese flavours! Everything from the appteizers, to the main course, to the complementary dessert was top notch!

Possibly the best restaurant in Wimbledon? In fact, almost certainly.

I went with a party of 5 for a birthday celebration. There was a brief mixup at the door and we were initially put on a table that was too small, but somehow by osmosis, staff realised that wasn’t necessarily to our liking (I know I sound like a bit of a knob saying that!) and without hesitating they moved us without us having to ask. That set the standard for the service throughout the evening.

Amir, Sediya and Semiya were incredibly attentive and fun without being annoying or overbearing, which is such a fine line to hit. They were genuinely lovely and obviously enjoyed their jobs and were passionate about the cuisine.

The food. As far as I’m concerned, Lebanese food is the best in the world, so I may be biased. This is some of the nicest, more upmarket Lebanese food I’ve had in London. The baba ganoush was superb and perfectly smoky, Houmous was just epic and the fattoush confirmed to me that it is the greatest salad on earth. We ordered the set menu and you know how sometimes a set menu always leaves you feeling a bit short changed? Like there is something from somewhere else on the menu that you’re missing? Not with this, dear reader. A great assortment of mezze to start, with that great baba, excellent kibbeh, fantastic falafel (actually some of the best), great dips and all spiced perfectly. The main included keftas, chicken and lamb shish, with rice and chips, all of which was excellent, all finishing with great baklava.

The wine was good, the food was stellar and the price was pretty great considering the service and cuisine. The atmosphere was lovely, with green plants up the walls, warm lighting and contemporary west Asian music (at the perfect volume) in the background. It was occasionally turned up for a bit of clapping along for birthday sparklers, something I’m not normally keen on, but the well-natured vibe of this restaurant made even a sullen-faced Scrooge like me join in.

In all, excellent. Truly excellent. In fact, I wouldn’t change a thing.

The team at Grilandia Hanover Street always go above and beyond. This time we hosted a birthday dinner and they were helpful and kind supporting us during the planning process.

I truly recommend anyone who enjoys Lebanese food to visit. Their service is always outstanding, from the first time we visited and Sayed, was friendly and gave great recommendations, did an overall great job of looking after us, we thought we must return!

The Grilandia Chiswick team were so accommodating to my big party of 13 for a birthday meal. Service was quick and the food was great, they even brought out a cake my friends had provided to some special birthday music. Thank you for a great meal!

My husband was looking for Lebanese food in London, since our town in coastal Georgia, USA, does not have a Lebanese restaurant. We were happy to find this one to have a farewell dinner with our son who was also traveling in UK. The amazing manager, Ali, suggested the meze appetizers along with mixed grill meat sampler to share. The kibbe on the appetizers was so good we ordered another serving. Our family of Greek heritage loves to share platters of food instead of getting individual dishes for each person, and Ali’s suggestions were perfect. Along with some wine and mint leaf cocktails, we had a lovely meal together. Thank you, Ali, for being such a gracious host!

The food here is amazing and is presented beautifully. The staff are helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is peaceful.
